Medical and Drug Insurance
AlohaCare Advantage is a Hawaii medical and drug
insurance plan for people who have Medicare insurance. When you choose
AlohaCare Advantage as your Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan (MA-PD)
you receive both medical and drug insurance for a $0 plan premium.? You must continue to pay your Part B premium
to Medicare.
Extra Help
You may be able to get extra
help to pay for drug costs. Two out of three people will qualify for the Low Income
Subsidy. Generally, your premium will be lower once you receive extra help from
Medicare. You can apply online

If you qualify for extra
help, you pay $0 or a reduced monthly premium. (This does not include any
Medicare Part B premium you may have to pay.) The premiums listed are for both
medical services and prescription drug benefits and includes information about
the AlohaCare Advantage and Advantage Plus Plans.

letter from Medicare or the Social Security Administration (SSA) about your
eligibility for extra help. Read this important information carefully. If you
don't know what level of extra help you qualify for, you can call
1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) for this information. TTY/TDD users should call
1-877-486-2048. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
