AlohaCare is a non-profit health plan founded in 1994 by Hawaii’s Community Health Centers. AlohaCare is the third-largest health plan in Hawaii.
 
Our passion is to serve the people of Hawaii in the true spirit of aloha. We are committed to improving the health of Hawaii's communities. We specialize in QUEST (Medicaid) health insurance to people living on Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Hawaii Island. We are mission driven to care for people who are underserved with specific health needs.
 
We provide health care coverage for Hawaii's QUEST (Medicaid) beneficiaries. AlohaCare is a health plan with a Medicare contract and provides Medicare coverage to beneficiaries in Hawaii.

You may have heard the news about a federal government action to “freeze” federal funding. We want to let you know that our state’s program is safe.

Member benefits will continue without any changes. We are working closely with government, healthcare providers and nonprofit partners to protect funding.

1. Can I still see my doctors?

Yes, you can. Members still have access to their health coverage and can continue to see their providers and get their medicine.

2. Will I have to pay out of pocket?

No, you will not. There should not be any direct charges to members.

3. Are my Medicaid or SNAP benefits affected?

No, they are not. Mandatory programs providing direct benefits like Medicaid and SNAP are not affected by the freeze.

4. Will Social Security payments or Medicare coverage be impacted?

No, they will not. Payments will continue to be made and Medicare coverage will not be affected by these executive orders.
